Do we need Kubernetes or is Docker Compose enough?
Docker Compose is excellent for local development and small-scale deployments (a few containers on a single server). Kubernetes becomes necessary when you need auto-scaling, self-healing, rolling deployments, multi-node clusters, or workload isolation for production traffic. If your application runs on two or three containers and does not need horizontal scaling, Docker Compose with a simple deployment script may be the right choice. We help you make this decision based on your actual requirements.
How do you handle Kubernetes security?
We implement defense in depth: RBAC policies restrict who can access what, network policies limit pod-to-pod communication, pod security standards prevent privileged containers, and image scanning blocks vulnerable images from deploying. Secrets are managed through external secret stores like AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault rather than stored in Kubernetes directly.
